This week we have some major celestial shifts! Three planets will be going retrograde, and this cosmic U-turn will be a time of review. On May 10th, Saturn takes the lead and begins its retro phase until September. This will be occurring in the early degrees of Aquarius as it heads back into Capricorn.

During the Saturn Retrograde, the Universe brings synchronicities, ideas, and situations to our attention. While it is retrograde in the sign of Aquarius, it represents ah-ha moments, science, technology, freedom, and humanity. In the early degrees of Aquarius, it was just giving us some small clues into where the next shift will occur. For now, it just might surface with clever ideas, urges to be independent, unique, and live your truth. Yet, on the flip side it can also bring erratic changes and you might be feeling a lack of freedom, restrictions, or the urge to break free.

Since Saturn entered Capricorn in December 2017, we have been adjusting to a different reality.  While Saturn can bring us a kind of reckoning, it also brings karmic gifts. For those who have been dealt the tough circumstances or challenges, know that this phase is coming to an end. It will go into its next sign and energetically shift. During this time, the planet of structure, determination, duty, responsibility, and karma has been dealing some cosmic barriers, which have a silver lining. As it enters back into Capricorn there is some closure to what we have been working on. It represents accomplishments, goals, determination and the process to achieve the end results. With this energy, it emphasizes the necessary steps to reach the top of your game. Hey, these goals can be anything from your toddler finally being potty trained (major milestone), to career or health milestones. For the next few months, think structure, time management, responsibility, and discovering your path in life. This is a time to buckle down and be strategic about building your future. During this time, the opportunities presented to you may not be what you were expecting; yet, they are potential karmic gifts from the Universe. Saturn brings tests to see if you truly believe you are ready, worthy, and deserving. So, don’t blow it by passing up the opportunities that come your way. Keep your end game in mind.

The Next Chapter

During this phase, Saturn likes structure and strategy. Plan out your goals and how you will achieve them. This will be the time to recognize the steps you need to take to get to where you want to be.  It isn’t the best time to be sloppy and unprepared. Whatever the Universe throws your way, you will need to take a hint from Saturn and put in the work.  With this planet, there are no shortcuts or an easy way out. It is best to follow the rules and act with integrity.

While Saturn is known to also bring depressing circumstances and an overwhelming feeling of living a hard knocks life. Life can feel and be so tough that you may have trouble seeing a way out or alternate routes. On the flip side, it also brings clarity, determination, and newfound wisdom. Saturn gives you circumstances that make you step up, grow up, and accept responsibility.
