The Solar Eclipse in Cancer has significant Mother Earth energy that will activate your domestic instincts. Not only are your nurturing and mothering instincts in full force, but your sensitivity, feelings, and emotions are heightened. Cancer is a fertile and fruitful sign that is receptive to its environment. In fact, it is the most sentimental zodiac sign of them all! During this time, you may prefer to stay home, withdrawal into your own space, or share time with your family. This cosmic energy can make you feel homesick for friends, family, or your childhood.
As the ruler of the eclipse, the Moon is focused on your domestic life, real estate, home, and maternal instincts, while giving you access to connect with the collective unconscious. As a water sign, your emotions and feelings are being brought to the forefront. It can manifest in a challenging way by feeling like you’re emotionally being dragged in the mud. You can feel are moody, clingy, needy, and a need to fill an emotional vacuum with food, smoking or drinking. Before you allow self-pity and disappointment to consume you, take a look at your life to see if you are surrounded by emotional leeches and negativity. This might be a time to weed out the negativity that has been weighing you down.
Ideally, all of this Cancer energy is both fluid and changeable. Like the tides, you may experience some emotional ups and downs. Let’s start with the difficult aspect between Pluto and the eclipse point. It can signify being at odds with another person who may have power over you. It can be a tough pill to swallow. Basically, there are some intense forces at play now. Whether it is you or another pulling the strings, you can identify with the controlling behaviors and issues that are coming up now. Pluto is symbolic of transformation, secrets, subconscious, power, status, control and it will bring to light some kind of a back and forth event, situation, dialogue, event or situation. This will be in effect in August and continue to resurface for the next 6 months.
Both Neptune and Jupiter are making excellent aspects to this eclipse! Neptune will have you daydreaming and lost in an alternate reality. It is a great time to express yourself via creative or physical means. For example, surfing, swimming, sailing, writing, painting, yoga, or fitness are all positive expressions of this energy. Some can also be tempted down a different Neptunian path of escapism. So, be mindful of any temptations to do drugs or alcohol. If you have been working on your sobriety, then be extra cautious with all this cosmic energy.
Jupiter is the go big or go home energy. It brings expansiveness, miracles, opportunities, and wishes fulfilled. It will bring opportunities to your life at the right time. Stay focused on what you desire the most! Jupiter’s cosmic influence will bring an influx of positivity and optimism to your life. Yet, the downside is that it brings exaggeration, overcommitment, and expands whatever is occurring. Jupiter is about blessings and attracting into life what you’re focusing on. Prosperity can manifest in numerous ways, including spiritual, physical, or financial abundance.

- September 16th: Mercury connects and stimulates the topics from July that you were thinking, talking, texting and chatting about
- September 16th – 20th: Jupiter will bring a wish, miracle big or small to fruition
