May ends with the opportunity to see the newly discovered comet SWAN. Are your binoculars ready? While this is a super cool opportunity for us Star Gazers, what does a comet represent? Does it even bring symbolism or mythology to us Earthling’s?
Look up to the sky during the week of May 22nd – 27th, and you will see this awesome phenomena. Just how rare is a comet sighting? As the most recognizable, Halley’s Comet is only visible every 75-76 years. Last seen in 1986, it will not re-appear until 2062. Yet, this comet has been making appearances as far back as Medieval Times.
